OUR NEW LIBRARIAN
Nell Boucher is a native of the Hudson Valley, and has held
professional library and archivist positions at institutions that
include Hofstra University, Barnard College, SUNY New Paltz, the
Newburgh Free Library, the Wallkill Public Library and the Rosendale
Library. Boucher has also worked as an archival consultant for the
Freeport Public Library, the Fire Island School District and the City
of Kingston. Boucher's professional experience in library science
includes all aspects of librarianship including assisting patrons,
working the circulation and reference desks, acquiring and processing
library materials, developing programs, and maintaining and creating
databases as well as training, managing and supervising library staff.
Boucher earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from SUNY New Paltz and a
Master of Information and Library Science: Archives and Records
Management from the Pratt Institute.
