Sunday, May 18, 4:00 Brian Nowitzki of Hudson
Valley Clean Energy will present the latest trends in sustainable building for
homes and businesses in our area, from solar power to geothermal heating and
cooling. Learn why today's technology combined with government incentives
can lead to smarter, cleaner energy use.
Note the time change to 4:00 due to the start
of daylight saving. As usual, the
event is free and will be held in the Gardiner Town Hall.
Sunday, June 22, 4:00Maggie Caccamo will
demonstrate Ikebana, Japanese flower arranging in Gardiner's Town
Hall. Ikenobo Ikebana is the
original school teaching this art and dates back to 650AD. Maggie Caccamo is a certified teacher
and will demonstrate one of the basic styles. She has studied here and in Japan and is currently
the president of New York Tachibana.
The event is free and all are welcome.
