The Town Council of Gardiner serves as the legislative and policy-making body for the town. Composed of elected officials, including the Town Supervisor and four Council Members, the Council is responsible for setting the town's budget, enacting local laws, and guiding community development and services. Committed to transparency, accountability, and public engagement, the Town Council works to ensure that Gardiner remains a vibrant, inclusive, and well-managed community. Regular and Workshop meetings are held monthly and are open to the public.
The Town Board holds two meetings each month at 7:00 PM
Workshop Meetings – held on the first Tuesday of each month
Regular Meetings – held on the second Tuesday of each month
Special Meetings may be scheduled as needed throughout the year and will be publicly posted in advance.
July and August: Only one meeting is held — the Regular Meeting on the second Tuesday of the month.
November 2025: Due to holidays, meetings will be held on:
Thursday, November 6 (Workshop Meeting – rescheduled due to Election Day)
Thursday, November 13 (Regular Meeting – rescheduled due to Veterans Day)
Meeting Minutes are approved no earlier than the following month and are posted on the town website once approved. Audio or video recordings may also be provided as a courtesy
