In Memoriam
Jean-Ann McGrane, beloved member of the Gardiner community, passed away on March 16, 2024 at Vassar Brothers Hospital.
Jean-Ann was Chair of the Gardiner Open Space Commission for the past five years and recently spearheaded the Community Preservation Fund campaign to raise funds for open space preservation in Gardiner.
She was a bright light for the Gardiner community. Those who were lucky enough to work with her know what a fierce and effective advocate she was for the protection of the environment, and how she treated everyone with respect and kindness. She was a powerful force with great shoes to fill and she will be dearly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Copeland-Hammerl Funeral Home on June 22, 2024, gathering at 10:00 AM. Service at 11:00 AM.
Jean-Ann’s artwork will be on display.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Gardiner Library (133 Farmer’s Turnpike, Gardiner, NY 12525), or Ulster County SPCA (20 Wiedy Dr., Kingston, NY 12401) would be appreciated in memory of Jean-Ann.
